Measure a room in seconds. Sketch it in real time.
SmartMeasure Pro is a small handheld device that measures distance with a laser. It connects to a mobile app, so every measurement is instantly drawn on a floor plan. No tape measure. No paper sketches. Just point, measure, and see your room take shape on your phone.
Two devices. One workflow.
The hardware measures. The app draws. Together they replace a tape measure, a notepad, and hours of redrawing.
Point & press
Aim the handheld device at a wall and press one button. The laser measures the distance in under a second.
HARDWAREIt lands in the app
The measurement travels over Bluetooth instantly and attaches itself to the wall you're drawing — no typing, no writing it down.
BLUETOOTHYour plan is done
Area, perimeter and volume calculate themselves. Export to PDF or AutoCAD, or view the finished room in 3D.
MOBILE APP
Why it matters
The old way of measuring a room, next to the SmartMeasure Pro way.
Inside the device
Every component that makes a single laser press turn into an instant measurement.

Main processor — handles BLE and WiFi.

Laser distance sensor, 0–8m range.

0.96" screen — live readings on device.

Rechargeable portable power.
What the handheld device does
A small device you hold in one hand. It fires a laser at a wall and tells you exactly how far away it is.
Point at a wall and press one button. You get the distance in under a second — up to 10 metres away, accurate to within 1 centimetre.
A small screen on the device displays the measurement the moment you take it, so you can check it before moving on.
A buzzer sounds on every successful measurement. You don't need to look at the screen to know it worked.
Use it with the app over Bluetooth, or on its own — readings save to an SD card as a file you can open later.
Charges with a standard USB-C cable, the same one your phone uses. No special charger to carry around.
If a reading is out of range or unsteady, the device rejects it rather than sending a wrong number to the app.
What the mobile app does
The app turns those measurements into a floor plan while you work. You don't draw anything to scale by hand.
Tap the corners, and the walls appear
Tap on the screen to place each corner of the room. Walls draw themselves between the corners. Then point the device at a wall and press once — that measurement attaches to the wall on screen automatically and the wall turns green.
- Walls snap to straight angles so your plan stays neat
- Made a mistake? Undo as many times as you need
- Add doors and windows with their real width and height
- Draw several connected rooms in one project
Floor area, wall perimeter and room volume all calculate themselves as you measure. Nothing to work out by hand.
Everything saves on your phone. You can measure a whole building with no signal and sync later when you're back online.
You can skip the login and start measuring straight away. Nothing gets in the way of your first plan.
What you can do with a finished plan
Once the room is measured, the app turns it into something you can share, send to an architect, or walk through in 3D.
Turn your plan into a report
Export the project as a PDF containing the floor plan drawing and a table of every measurement. Send it to a client through WhatsApp or email straight from your phone.
Send it straight to an architect
Export the same plan as a DXF file — the format professional drawing software uses. An architect can open your file and keep working immediately, instead of redrawing everything from your notes.
Look around the room on your phone
Your flat plan becomes a real 3D room. Drag to turn it around, pinch to zoom in, and drop in furniture from 28 different types to see how the space will work. Much easier to show someone than a flat drawing.
Share a project with a code
Save your project online and give a teammate a short 8-character code. They open the same project on their own phone, and you both see each other's changes as they happen — no files to send back and forth.
Three-tier architecture
The device, the app, and the cloud each handle a clear part of the system.
Frontend — Mobile App
- Flutter (Dart) — cross-platform app
- Bluetooth Low Energy — device connection
- Sketch canvas, 3D visualization
- PDF and DXF export
Backend — Cloud Server
- Node.js + Express.js — REST API
- JWT — user authentication
- bcrypt — password hashing
- Hosted on AWS EC2
- Handles project sync and sharing
Database
- PostgreSQL
- SQLite — offline project storage
- Users, projects, and collaborators
- Room shapes and wall measurements
- Doors and windows data
Who it's for
Built for the people who measure spaces as part of their everyday work.
Construction workers
Get accurate site measurements quickly, without stretching a tape measure across a room alone.
Interior designers
Turn a client's room into a floor plan in minutes, complete with a 3D preview to share ideas early.
Architects
Export straight to DXF and bring real measurements into your CAD workflow without redrawing anything.
Property developers
Document a property's layout fast, and keep clear, shareable records for every unit.
Get the app
Download the Android app and pair it with your SmartMeasure Pro device.

How to Use SmartMeasure Pro
A step-by-step guide from installing the app to exporting your first floor plan.
Install and Login
Download the SmartMeasure Pro APK on your Android phone. Open the app, register with your email and password, then login.
Turn On the Device
Press and hold the power button on the hardware device for 2 seconds. The screen will turn on. Press the mode button until it shows BLE Mode.
Connect Device to App
On the home screen tap Start Room Sketch. The Bluetooth screen opens automatically. Tap Scan for Devices, select SmartMeasure Pro from the list, and tap Connect. When connected tap Continue to Sketch.
Draw Your Room
You will see a grid canvas. Tap on the screen to place corners of your room one by one. Walls will draw automatically between each corner. When finished tap near the first corner to close the room.
Measure Walls with the Device
Stand at one end of a wall. Point the device toward the opposite wall. Press the measure button. The laser fires and the distance appears on the device screen and automatically on the same wall in the app. The wall turns green confirming the real measurement. Repeat for each wall.
Add Doors and Windows
Tap the door or window icon in the toolbar. Drag and drop it onto the correct wall. Tap on it to enter the width and height measurements in metres. Tap Save.
Add Furniture
Tap the furniture icon in the toolbar. Choose an item from the list and drag it onto the floor plan to place it.
View in 3D
Tap the 3D View button. Your room appears as a 3D model with walls, doors, and windows. Use one finger to rotate and two fingers to zoom. Tap the height button to set the real wall height.
Export the Floor Plan
Tap the export button and choose PDF for a printable document or DXF for a CAD file. Share it directly from your phone by email or WhatsApp.
Save and Backup
Tap Save to store the project on your phone. Tap the cloud upload button to backup to the cloud. To load a saved project tap My Projects from the home screen.
